# The best semiconductor stocks right now, according to the finance accounts we track

> Seven semiconductor stocks clear our floors in a red week for chips. The accounts with the best track records are 14-to-0 on SK hynix through a 12% pullback, while the highest score on the list, Broadcom's 87, rests on one account. The full table, the Monday dissent, and the memory names we printed in August.

The chip trade had a bad week. Nvidia, Micron, Broadcom, Credo and Intel all closed lower on
Monday, SK hynix gave back a 12% run in three sessions, and one of the accounts we grade called the
red day over the weekend. The graded room did not follow. Across the 42 semiconductor names the
accounts we track discussed this week, calls from accounts with a real track record ran 95 bullish
to 14 bearish, and on the name at the top of the table below, not one of them turned. This page
ranks semiconductor stocks by that room: the names the accounts with the best records still back
after a week that tested them, with the graded split beside every score so you can check the work.

## How we rank semiconductor stocks

We track 97 chipmakers and chip-equipment companies. The accounts we follow mentioned 42 of them
in the last seven days, 484 mentions in all, 368 bullish to 88 bearish. Most of those 42 sit on a
handful of posts. TSMC carries a score of 86 on
thirteen mentions, AXT an 84 on seven, Aehr Test Systems an 82 on eighteen, Semtech a 76 on six. A
[signal score](/learn/what-is-a-stock-signal) on a handful of posts is a reading of a small room,
and a small room can be unanimous by accident.

The table below applies two floors before anyone is allowed to be "the best": at least 20 mentions
from the accounts we track in the last seven days, and a graded split you can see. Graded means the
bullish and bearish calls from accounts with a real
[track record](/learn/how-a-track-record-is-graded): more than ten resolved calls, and more than
half of them right. That column is the one that matters. The score already weights by it; showing it
lets you check the score's work.

## The best semiconductor stocks right now, ranked

Every chip name with 20 or more mentions this week, ranked by its 7-day score, with what the company
makes, the graded split this week, and mentions and price over 7 days with the 30-day figure
beneath each:

| | Score | Bull : Bear | Mentions (7d) | Price (7d) |
|---|---:|---:|---:|---:|
| Broadcom (AVGO) | **87** | 6 : 0 | <Pair v="35" sub="218 (30d)" /> | <Pair v="-3.7%" sub="-12.3% (30d)" /> |
| SK hynix (SKHY) | **86** | 14 : 0 | <Pair v="67" sub="101 (30d)" /> | <Pair v="-0.8%" sub="+5.6% (30d)" /> |
| Credo (CRDO) | **86** | 6 : 0 | <Pair v="33" sub="141 (30d)" /> | <Pair v="-12.0%" sub="-42.3% (30d)" /> |
| Micron (MU) | **80** | 18 : 5 | <Pair v="74" sub="312 (30d)" /> | <Pair v="-9.1%" sub="-4.9% (30d)" /> |
| NVIDIA (NVDA) | 78 | 31 : 6 | <Pair v="162" sub="1,019 (30d)" /> | <Pair v="-8.3%" sub="-6.2% (30d)" /> |
| Intel (INTC) | 74 | 5 : 1 | <Pair v="34" sub="161 (30d)" /> | <Pair v="+1.5%" sub="-5.2% (30d)" /> |
| AMD (AMD) | 71 | 7 : 1 | <Pair v="26" sub="63 (30d)" /> | <Pair v="+3.3%" sub="-4.1% (30d)" /> |

Four names sit at 80 or above, the line we use for "strong" everywhere else on this blog. SK hynix
is the only one of the seven up over the month. Six of the
seven are US companies; SK hynix is Korean, tracked on both its US listing and the Seoul one; the
mention counts above combine the two and the score is the US listing's. The memory names that share the trade but not the classification,
SanDisk at 76 on 60 mentions and Lumentum and Coherent on the optical side, have
**[their own posts](/blog/memory-stocks-split-three-weeks-later)** and stay off this table.

Two things about the list. The graded column is doing most of the work. Broadcom's 87 rests on six
graded calls, and five of the six are one account. SK hynix's 86 rests on fourteen graded calls from
seven accounts, and not one of them is a bear. Those are not the same kind of reading, and the score
alone does not show you the difference. And Credo carries the same warning it carried
**[on the September 11 list](/blog/best-stock-to-invest-in)**: a 6-to-0 room on a stock that is
42% below where it was a month ago and lost another 12% this week. A high score on a falling stock is an
open bet, and we count it as one.

## The answer: SK hynix, and why it is not Broadcom

Broadcom has the higher score, 87 against 86. It is the runner-up here because its room is thin. Twelve of its 35 mentions this week came from Reddit, split 7 to 5, which is where the app's
own summary of the name, "mixed reactions from holders," comes from. The graded calls all came from
X, and five of the six are a single account arguing the market overprices share-loss fears while AI
revenue doubles. That is a real view from an account with a real record, and it is one view.

SK hynix is the deeper room. This week: 67 mentions, 51 bullish to 7 bearish, 14 to 0 among graded
accounts, on posts about memory contracts with price floors and no ceilings, sold-out capacity into
2027, SOCAMM2 orders running above plan, and HBM4 demand. Over thirty days: 101 mentions, 77 to 12, and
19 to 0 among graded accounts across seven of them. On no day in the window did a graded account post
a bearish SK hynix call. More than three in four of its mentions come from the finance accounts we track on X.

One caveat, the same one we gave Intel last week. The largest single day of SK hynix conversation
was September 10, the day after the stock jumped 7% to its high. Some of this week's volume arrived
with the move. The lean did not: it was on the record a week earlier, and it held through what came
next.

## What the room said when the stock fell 12%

SK hynix's US listing closed at $198.63 on September 9, up 12% in three sessions. That was the top. It closed September 14 at $175.63, down 11.6% in three sessions, with the whole chip
group red on the Monday: Nvidia down 3.4% on the day, Micron 5.3%, Broadcom 4.8%, Credo 7.9%, Intel
5.6%. SK hynix fell 7.6%.

*[Chart: SK hynix US listing (SKHY), daily closes, August 14 to September 15, 2026. The low is August 24 at $155.37, the high September 9 at $198.63.]*

Through the pullback, the graded room did not move. Every day in the window that carried a graded
SK hynix call carried only bullish ones. The crowd flinched: in the Monday bucket all SK hynix posts
ran 3 bullish to 4 bearish, then swung back to 10 to 1 the next day. The graded accounts did not
flinch.

The read also has a paper trail. On September 9, the day of the high, we published
**[the Korean-market launch post](/blog/korean-stocks-on-quantral)** with SK hynix's Seoul listing
scored at 87, eighth on the ranked list across everything we cover. We printed it at the top, and the
stock is 12% lower than it was that day. Over the month it is up 6%. Over the week it is flat. This is not a paid win. It is a room that refused to flip on a
12% drawdown, the shape the Nebius room had at $199 two weeks ago, before it paid. This one is
still open.

On September 16, after the window closed, Reuters reported SK hynix is in talks with Intel about
making memory chips in the United States, with Intel's Ohio site as one option
([The Korea Herald](https://www.koreaherald.com/article/10875971)). Both stocks rose in premarket
trading. The graded accounts in the table below were bullish before the report; the report is not
why.

## Who made the calls

Some of the best graded accounts we track were behind the SK hynix read over the last thirty days;
six of the seven below rank in our top 20 by track record. Their record across every stock we grade, and
their bullish and bearish SK hynix posts over the last thirty days:

| Account | Resolved calls, all stocks | Bull : Bear on SK hynix (30d) |
|---|---:|---:|
| @aleabitoreddit | 1,625 | 6 : 0 |
| @jukan05 | 172 | 4 : 0 |
| @ParadisLabs | 1,298 | 3 : 0 |
| @ren_stocks | 460 | 2 : 0 |
| @daniel_koss | 332 | 2 : 0 |
| @mkfilko | 389 | 1 : 0 |
| @TheValueist | 1,195 | 1 : 0 |

Read the record before the split. A record of 1,625 resolved calls and one of 172 are different
amounts of evidence, and the [credibility weighting](/learn/what-is-a-credibility-score) behind the
score treats them differently. Two of these accounts have profiles on this blog:
[aleabitoreddit](/blog/who-is-aleabitoreddit), the most-graded account we track, and
[jukan05](/blog/who-is-jukan05), the chip leaker whose posts are mostly supply-chain news with no
view attached. Four of jukan05's calls count here because the news was one-directional.

## The dissent, and who was right on Monday

A 95-to-14 graded lean across the group does not mean the graded room has no bears. It has a few, and
they are worth reading, because one of them called Monday.

In the Sunday-to-Monday bucket, the graded split on the group was 10 to 7, the only day of the week
the bears came close. Five of the seven bearish calls were one account, ren_stocks, naming Nvidia,
Micron, AMD, Marvell and Intel in a single post that expected chips to have a bloody week. Monday
was red for all five. The other two were TheValueist arguing Nvidia and Micron will be judged on GAAP
profitability with stock-based compensation expensed, no free passes. By Tuesday the graded split
was back to 12 to 0.

Read that two ways. The bear call was right about the day, and the same account is 2-to-0 bullish
on SK hynix and 5-to-2 on Micron over the month. It was a call on the week. The room's monthly
read on the group, 445 graded bullish calls to 47, did not move on it. A
credibility-weighted read shows you both: the one-day dissent, and how little of the room it
represented.

## The memory names, five weeks on

Two names on the table have a longer paper trail than this week. On August 12 we published
**[four scores on the US memory stocks](/blog/memory-stocks-stock-sentiment)**: Micron 86, SanDisk
83, Western Digital 37, Seagate 35. Micron closed that day at $868.52. It closed September 14 at
$924.03, up 6% from the print, after touching $1,027.77 on September 9 and giving 10% of it back in
three sessions. Its room this week is the most contested of the four strong scores, 18 graded bulls
to 5 bears, and the bears have records: two are the Monday calls above, and one is a Reddit account
describing a Micron position as a heavy bag.

Nvidia is the other. **[On August 27](/blog/nvidia-earnings-graded)** we graded the room that called
the earnings beat and printed the stock at $209.66. It closed September 14 at $210.96. Three weeks of
the most-discussed stock in our coverage, 1,019 mentions over thirty days, 151 graded bulls to 17,
and the price went nowhere. That is the honest reading of a 78: a large, mostly bullish room and a
tape that has not rewarded it yet.

## Undervalued semiconductor stocks, by the room's argument

We do not value companies, and a sentiment score is not a valuation. But the graded accounts make
valuation arguments, and this month most of them are about memory. One argues Micron trades near
seven times forward earnings against Dell's eighteen, with three times the margins. Another names SK
hynix and Samsung as the two memory stocks down more than a third from their peaks on single-digit
multiples with the same shortage behind them. On Nvidia, the case is a forward multiple in the high
teens against revenue still doubling. Those numbers are theirs. If you want to check them,
start with **[what a P/E ratio is and is not](/learn/what-is-a-pe-ratio)**, then look up the
forward figure yourself before you take anyone's word for it.

## The most talked-about semiconductor stocks

The same week, sorted the other way: by how much the accounts we track are talking about a name
rather than by what the graded accounts think of it.

| | Mentions (7d) | Bull : Bear, all | Bull : Bear, graded | Score |
|---|---:|---:|---:|---:|
| NVIDIA (NVDA) | 162 | 110 : 44 | 31 : 6 | 78 |
| Micron (MU) | 74 | 54 : 17 | 18 : 5 | 80 |
| SK hynix (SKHY) | 67 | 51 : 7 | 14 : 0 | 86 |
| Broadcom (AVGO) | 35 | 24 : 9 | 6 : 0 | 87 |
| Intel (INTC) | 34 | 29 : 2 | 5 : 1 | 74 |

Nvidia is the loudest semiconductor stock by a factor of two and scores fifth of the seven. Forty-four
bearish posts from the crowd and six from graded accounts are what a 78 looks like on a name this
size. SK hynix is third by volume and first by the graded column. "Most talked about" and "best" are
different lists. Only one of them is weighted by who has been right before.

## Where to check the live reading

This page is a snapshot; the table will look different in a week, and in a week like this one it
looked different by Tuesday. The method outlasts it: filter by who has been right, and read the graded
split before the mention count. If you want a process for turning a table like this into a decision
that is yours, start with **[how to know what stock to invest in](/learn/how-to-know-what-stock-to-invest-in)**,
then run the six checks in **[how to research stocks](/learn/how-to-research-stocks)** on whichever
name survives. For the reasons a raw sentiment feed will mislead you,
