There is no separate Starlink stock. Starlink is part of SpaceX, and the only way to own it is to
buy SpaceX, which trades on the Nasdaq as **SPCX**. SpaceX has not announced a Starlink spin-off
or a separate listing.

One SPCX share closed at $159.31 on October 21. Starlink sits in SpaceX's Connectivity segment,
which brought in $5.2 billion of the company's $14.6 billion third-quarter revenue, with 13.6
million Starlink subscribers.

## Is there a Starlink stock symbol?

No. Starlink has no ticker, because it is not a separate company with its own shares. The symbol
to look up is SPCX, SpaceX's ticker on the Nasdaq since June 12, 2026.

Searches for a Starlink release date or a Starlink IPO price assume Starlink will list on its own.
It didn't. SpaceX listed as a whole, at $135 a
share, with Starlink inside it. No spin-off has been announced since. The IPO details and the
lockup schedule are in **[our SpaceX IPO guide](/blog/spacex-ipo)**.

When you buy SPCX, you also buy SpaceX's rockets and its AI business, which came with the xAI deal
and now earns more than Starlink does. **[Our xAI stock page](/blog/xai-stock)** covers that half.

## Starlink in SpaceX's numbers

SpaceX reported its third quarter on October 20. According to
[Via Satellite](https://www.satellitetoday.com/finance/2026/10/21/starlink-growth-slows-as-ai-takes-the-lead-at-spacex-in-q3-results/):

| Q3 2026 | Figure |
|---|---:|
| Connectivity revenue (mostly Starlink) | $5.2 billion |
| Change from a year earlier | +69% |
| Change from the second quarter | +22% |
| Starlink consumer subscribers | 13.6 million |
| Subscribers added in the quarter | 1.6 million |
| Starlink Mobile monthly users | More than 22 million |
| Aircraft contracted | About 12,000 |
| SpaceX total revenue | $14.6 billion |

Starlink is still growing fast, but the rate slowed. Connectivity revenue grew 32% from the first
quarter to the second, and 22% from the second to the third. In the same quarter, SpaceX's AI
segment, Super Intelligence, brought in $7.6 billion and overtook Connectivity as the biggest
segment. Starlink is no longer SpaceX's biggest business.

## How to buy Starlink stock

Buying Starlink means buying SPCX, the same way you would buy any US stock:

1. Open or log in to a brokerage account that offers US stocks.
2. Search for **SPCX**. Not SPCE, which is Virgin Galactic.
3. Pick a number of shares, or a dollar amount if your broker sells fractional shares.
4. Place a market order (fills now) or a limit order (fills only at your price or better).

The full walkthrough, with notes for buyers outside the US, is in
**[how to buy SpaceX stock](/blog/spacex-ipo#how-to-buy-spacex-stock)**. If you are weighing a
2x fund instead of the shares, read **[our SpaceX ETF guide](/blog/spacex-etf)** first.

## Why is Starlink stock so low?

A search for why Starlink stock is low is a question about SPCX, the only Starlink stock there is.
The October 21 close of $159.31 against the prices a quote page shows:

| Compared with | Price | SPCX since |
|---|---:|---:|
| IPO price (June 11) | $135.00 | +18.0% |
| First-day close (June 12) | $160.95 | -1.0% |
| 1 week ago (October 14 close) | $152.16 | +4.7% |
| 1 month ago (September 21 close) | $151.85 | +4.9% |
| All-time high close (June 16) | $211.39 | -24.6% |
| All-time low close (August 5) | $108.27 | +47.1% |

SPCX is above its IPO price and well above its August low, but about a quarter below its June
peak. Most of that gap opened in the first two months. The stock fell by almost half from the June
high to the August 5 close, the day after its first earnings report, when traders focused on the
capital spending line. It recovered through August, traded between about $140 and $155 in
September, and rose 7.8% on October 21, the day after the third-quarter report. The chart and the
lockup dates behind those moves are in
**[how SPCX has traded since the IPO](/blog/spacex-ipo#how-spcx-has-traded-since-the-ipo)**.

## Stocks people mistake for Starlink

Searching for Starlink stock turns up other satellite companies, and none of them is Starlink.
[AST SpaceMobile](/stocks/ASTS) (ASTS) builds satellites meant to connect directly to ordinary
phones through carrier partners. That is close to what Starlink Mobile does, but AST is a separate
company with no tie to SpaceX. Iridium and Globalstar also
sell connectivity from orbit. **[Our space stocks ranking](/blog/space-stocks)** sorts them by
what they sell and how the accounts we track read each one.

## What the accounts we track say about SPCX

As of the morning of October 19, SpaceX carried a 7-day score of 64 in Quantral, on the positive
side and cooler than the 76 it read in mid-August. Since September the accounts we track leaned
bullish, 104 mentions to 59, but the platforms split: X ran 62 bullish to 10 bearish, Reddit 33
bullish to 46 bearish.

The accounts with a real track record called the big turns. They ran bearish three to one in July,
while the stock fell 36.6%, and bullish four to one in August, while it rose 32.6%. The month-by-month
table is in
**[what the accounts we track said about SpaceX](/blog/spacex-ipo#what-the-accounts-we-track-said-month-by-month)**,
and the dated snapshot sits on our [SpaceX stock page](/stocks/SPCX).
