- The best-performing members: Quiver ranks returns; Quantral ranks members on their graded record, losers included.

No tool shows Congress trades in real time
Every tracker reads the same filings. Under the STOCK Act, a member files a periodic transaction report within 30 days of learning of a trade and no later than 45 days after it, and reports the amount as a range such as $1,001 to $15,000, not an exact figure. The rules are in the House Committee on Ethics instruction guide, and the filings themselves are on the House Clerk and Senate eFD sites. A "real-time" Congress alert is real time from the filing, weeks after the trade.
What do you use Quiver for?
Congress and politician trades?
Capitol Trades is the free table of every trade. Unusual Whales adds options flow and alerts. Quantral's Congress stock tracker grades each member's trades so you can see who has been right, and our best Congress stock trackers compares seven.
13F hedge fund holdings?
WhaleWisdom, built around 13F filings, with a free tier and a 13F backtester. Unusual Whales and Fintel also show institutional holdings.
Corporate insider trades?
OpenInsider, free, for every Form 4 filing. StockInsider adds an AI chat and alerts. Quantral's insider trading tracker shows open-market insider buys on the company page next to Congress trades and the crowd.
Options flow?
Unusual Whales, which is built around it. Quiver and Quantral don't carry options flow, so options traders pair either one with Unusual Whales.
Alternative data, government contracts and lobbying?
Quiver covers both, next to its other public datasets. Unusual Whales covers lobbying. For a map of the field, read alternative data sources.
Finding investment ideas?
Quantral. It reads finance X, Reddit, Substack and YouTube, adds Congress trades and insider buys, weights everything by who has been right before, and ranks stocks by one 0-100 score.
WallStreetBets sentiment?
ApeWisdom and ChartExchange count Reddit mentions for free, and SwaggyStocks adds options data for r/wallstreetbets. Quantral's Reddit stock tracker reads Reddit too and grades the posters behind each mention.
Quantral surfaces signals and context from public sources to support your own research. Nothing here is financial advice or a recommendation to buy or sell.
