The best Reddit stock trackers in 2026, and what each one actually measures

By Maya Koeva · September 18, 2026 · 13 min read

A regular grid of identical small outlined squares, with one square near the top right lifted out of the grid, tilted and filled coral, leaving its empty slot behind.

A Reddit stock tracker can mean three different products. One counts how many times a ticker was typed. One reads the posts and scores the mood. One weighs each post by who wrote it. Most lists rank all three as if they were the same thing, which is how people end up paying for a sentiment score that is a mention count with a colour.

This page sorts eleven trackers by what the number on the screen means, then says who each one is for. The short version: the free counters are good at the job they do, the scorers differ in how they read a sentence, and the question that separates the rest is whether the tool knows anything about who is posting.

One disclosure before the list. We make Quantral, one of the eleven. We checked every price and feature below on the vendor's own site on September 18, 2026, and each competitor gets a real best-for line, because most of them do something we do not.

Reddit is one room. It is very good at showing you where retail attention sits and poor at telling you who has been right, which is the whole Reddit versus X question. Keep that in mind for every tool below, including ours.

Mention counters

These count how often a ticker appears and rank the result. They do not know whether a post was a buy case, a loss screenshot, or a joke, and the good ones do not pretend to.

ApeWisdom: the free count to open first

ApeWisdom reads about fifteen finance subreddits, r/wallstreetbets, r/stocks, r/investing, r/StockMarket, r/options and r/pennystocks among them, plus 4chan's business board, and ranks tickers by mentions and upvotes with the change over the last 24 hours beside each one. It scans twice an hour, costs nothing, needs no account, and the same numbers come out of a keyless API. It also covers crypto. If you want to know which tickers Reddit is typing today, this is the page, and it is the one every AI answer to that question cites first.

It does not read direction. A stock at the top of ApeWisdom can be there on a thesis or a wipeout, and the count looks the same. We compared it with Quantral head to head in Quantral vs ApeWisdom.

Best for: a fast, free read on what Reddit is talking about, and anyone who wants a mention count out of an API without signing up.

SwaggyStocks: the r/wallstreetbets dashboard with the options context

SwaggyStocks is built around one board. Its dashboard ranks the most mentioned tickers on r/wallstreetbets over the last 12 hours, day or week, and puts a sentiment column, a call-to-put ratio and 30-day implied volatility beside each one, with a separate options max pain page. That options layer is the reason to open it: WSB is an options crowd, and SwaggyStocks shows you what that crowd is positioned for, not only what it is saying. Everything loads without a login and the site shows no pricing page.

The sentiment column has no published method, so treat it as a hint rather than a reading. The count is the product.

Best for: watching r/wallstreetbets alone, with the options data a pure counter leaves out.

TopStonks: the meme-stock room, comments and all

TopStonks counts comments on r/wallstreetbets, 4chan's business board and Twitch chat, refreshes every 15 minutes, and adds a premarket buzz counter. Its own tagline calls it "the best advice from the worst investors on the internet", which is an honest description of the source. The sign-up page lists $19.99 a month or $149 a year, and we could not find a free tier.

Best for: people who want the meme-stock crowd as a mood gauge and are happy to pay for a faster refresh than ApeWisdom's.

Sentiment scorers

These read the text and put a number on the mood. The number is only as good as the reader behind it, and each tool reads differently: a rules list, a language model, or a blend of Reddit with other feeds. Ask what a 7 out of 10 means before you act on one.

VibeTicker: an AI score with the reasoning attached

VibeTicker scrapes r/wallstreetbets, r/stocks, r/investing and r/pennystocks, runs each ticker through a language model for a 0 to 10 bullish-to-bearish score, writes a bull thesis and a bear thesis, and tracks mention velocity against baseline chatter. It updates every 10 minutes and flags pump-and-dump patterns. The free tier shows the top 20 trending tickers with their scores. Pro is $19.99 a month for the full list, watchlists and email alerts when a score crosses 8.5, and an API tier is $49 a month.

Best for: a readable AI take on why a ticker is trending, with alerts.

OrbitIQ: the phone app

If the question is "is there an app that tracks which stocks Reddit is talking about", OrbitIQ's Reddit Stock Signals is the literal answer, and app store listings for it are what the AI engines cite. It scans r/wallstreetbets, r/stocks, r/options and other stock subreddits around the clock, tracks mention volume and sentiment, and sends push alerts. After a 3-day trial it is $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year for Premium Lite, or $49.99 a month for Premium. iOS only, so far.

Best for: Reddit mention alerts on an iPhone.

Tradestie: the keyless API

Tradestie publishes the top 50 tickers on r/wallstreetbets by comment count, each with a bullish or bearish label and a sentiment score, and hands the same list out through an API that needs no key at 20 requests a minute. It covers one board and refreshes hourly. There is a free tier and a 14-day premium trial; the paid price is not on the pages we could read.

Best for: pulling a WSB sentiment list into your own spreadsheet or script in five minutes.

Senti: Android and YouTube

Senti reads Reddit and YouTube, scores each ticker from 0 to 10 with a language model, and weights posts by engagement. It is the Android app in this group, with a web version, a free tier that refreshes daily and a Premium tier listed at $6.99. YouTube is the unusual input: no other tool here reads it.

Best for: Android users, and anyone who wants YouTube finance channels in the mix.

Adanos: the developer's sentiment API

Adanos is an API rather than a dashboard. It returns a 0 to 100 buzz score and a separate sentiment score from -1 to +1 per ticker, with Reddit (it names r/wallstreetbets, r/stocks and r/Superstonk), X, news, Polymarket and crypto feeds behind the same key, refreshed about hourly. The free tier is 250 requests a month for non-commercial use. Hobby is $29 a month, Professional $299 a month with commercial rights and raw post data. Adanos also publishes the Reddit tracker listicle most AI engines cite, ranking itself second, which its own FAQ is candid about: most "sentiment" tools in this category are mention counters.

Best for: building your own tool on Reddit sentiment data, with sentiment separated from volume.

Reddit inside a bigger alternative-data bundle

Two tools treat Reddit as one column among many. Buy them for the other columns.

Quiver Quantitative: the filings, with a WSB page attached

Quiver's real business is public paperwork: congressional trades, government contracts, lobbying, insider filings. Its r/wallstreetbets dashboard shows mentions and the sentiment of the discussion around each ticker, and sits next to all of that. There is a free tier and a paid Premium plan whose price is behind a login, plus an API from $25 a month billed yearly. It runs on the web and iOS. We covered it in the best stock analysis tools of 2026 for the filings, which is still the reason to open it.

Best for: the paperwork most people skip, with Reddit as a side dish.

AltIndex: Reddit as one input to a stock score

AltIndex blends Reddit buzz with web traffic, app downloads and hiring trends into a 0 to 100 score per stock, and sends alerts when any of those inputs moves. It has a free tier, a Starter plan at $29 a month or $199 a year, apps for iOS and Android, an API and an MCP server. You cannot pull the Reddit read out of the blended score, which is fine if the blend is what you wanted.

Best for: alternative-data breadth on a stock, where Reddit is one signal of four.

Weighted by who is posting

The tools above treat a post as a post. A counter scores a thousand new accounts the same as one analyst with a record, and a scorer reads both sentences with the same care. Quantral is built for that gap, so this is the part where we describe our own product, and you know who is writing it.

Quantral: the crowd, graded

Quantral reads finance X, a curated set of finance subreddits with r/wallstreetbets among them, and Substack. Each mention gets a direction, bullish, bearish or neither, and a weight based on the posting account's graded track record: the calls it made, how they resolved, and how often it was right. Those roll up into one 0 to 100 score per stock with a written reason naming who is behind it, so you can open the number and see the posts. Subreddits are weighed as a crowd, and we have published how well that crowd's calls have held up in the wallstreetbets accuracy piece. It runs on the web, iOS and Android, updates hourly, and costs $14.99 a month or $9.99 a month billed yearly after a 7-day trial.

The limits. It is paid after the trial. It is not a raw firehose: you get the weighted read and the posts behind it, not every mention on Reddit. There is no bulk data API; instead there is an MCP server that lets Claude or ChatGPT pull scores and breakdowns into a chat. And it covers US and Korean listings, not crypto.

The weighting is easiest to show on a week. Across the accounts we track in the seven days to September 18, Nvidia topped the mention count at 305, a quarter of them from Reddit, and the room split 103 bullish calls to 43 bearish, with the graded accounts at 32 to 5. Count, mood and weighted read all agreed, which is the easy case. Oracle sat ninth by count at 87 mentions, more than half of them from Reddit, and there the room ran 20 bullish to 37 bearish while the graded accounts leaned the other way, 6 to 3. A mention counter ranks both names in its top ten and cannot see the difference. A scorer sees the mood. Only the third kind of tool tells you which slice of the room has been right before, and that is the number you want before a bearish thread talks you out of a position or into one.

Best for: deciding which of the names Reddit is loud about deserve your research time.

Which Reddit stock tracker should you open?

  • A free trending list: ApeWisdom. Wide coverage, no login, and the API is free too.
  • r/wallstreetbets mood with options context: SwaggyStocks.
  • Building your own tool: Adanos for scored sentiment with commercial rights, ApeWisdom or Tradestie for a free count.
  • Phone alerts: OrbitIQ on iOS, Senti on Android.
  • Alternative data breadth: Quiver for the paperwork, AltIndex for the blend.
  • Knowing whose posts to weigh: Quantral. Start with the Reddit stock tracker page for how it reads the boards.

Plenty of people run two. A counter to spot the spike, and a graded read to check who is behind it before it costs anything.

What none of them can tell you

Mention velocity is attention. A ticker that goes from ten mentions to a thousand in a day has caught the room's eye, and the tools above will all show you that. None of them can tell you whether the thesis behind the attention is right, because nobody knows that yet, including the accounts with the best records. A score, ours included, is a snapshot of a conversation, not a forecast of a price.

Low counts cut the other way. A stock with a handful of mentions on any of these tools is a stock the tool's sources are not discussing, which is a statement about coverage. It says nothing about the company.

If you hold for years, most of this is noise to you by design, and long-term investing and market sentiment covers the narrow set of cases where it is not. If you are researching a name, the tracker is the first ten minutes, and how to research stocks is the rest. For judging any tool in this category, ours included, the five questions in social sentiment analysis tools are the checklist.

Common questions

Is there an app that tracks which stocks Reddit is talking about?

Yes, several. OrbitIQ's Reddit Stock Signals on iOS and Senti on Android are the Reddit-only apps. Quiver, AltIndex and Quantral have iOS apps that include Reddit alongside other sources, and Quantral and AltIndex are on Android as well. ApeWisdom and SwaggyStocks are websites that work fine on a phone browser.

What is the best free Reddit stock tracker?

ApeWisdom, for coverage and the free API. SwaggyStocks if you only care about r/wallstreetbets and want options data beside the count. VibeTicker's free tier shows the top 20 trending tickers with their AI scores.

Do these tools score sentiment or just count mentions?

Most count. ApeWisdom, TopStonks and, in practice, SwaggyStocks are counters. VibeTicker, Senti, Adanos, Tradestie and the two bundles put a score on the mood, each by its own method. Quantral scores direction and then weighs each post by the account's graded record, which none of the others do. When a tool says "sentiment", ask whether it means the count went up or the posts turned bullish. They are different facts.

Is Stocktwits a Reddit tracker?

No. StockTwits is its own community with its own bull and bear tags, and it does not read Reddit. It is a different source with a similar problem, every tag counts the same, and we compared it with Quantral in Quantral vs StockTwits.

Does Reddit sentiment predict stock prices?

No tool on this list claims it does, and neither do we. Reddit attention often arrives with a price move rather than ahead of it, and our own grading of r/wallstreetbets found the board correct on fewer than half of its gradeable calls. Sentiment works as a map of where attention sits and, if the tool grades its sources, whose attention it is. Treat it as an input to research: volume and signal are different things.

Competitor details and prices were read on each vendor's own site on September 18, 2026 and will drift; check the provider before you pay. Mention counts and splits describe only the accounts Quantral tracks over the seven days to September 18, 2026 and are a dated snapshot. Quantral surfaces signals and context from public sources to support your own research. Nothing here is financial advice or a recommendation to buy or sell.
