Samsung, SK Hynix and 2,600 more: Korean stocks come to Quantral
By Maya Koeva · September 9, 2026 · 4 min read

Quantral now covers the Korean exchanges. Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, Naver, Kakao, Hyundai and more than 2,600 other companies listed on KOSPI and KOSDAQ are in the app with the same scoring, ranked list, alerts and recaps as the US names. Until last week Quantral was NASDAQ and NYSE only. Korea is the first market outside the US, and more are on the way in the coming weeks.
Why Korea first
You asked. Korean names were the most requested addition, and the request matched what we were already reading. SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics had racked up hundreds of mentions across the accounts we track, next to Micron and SanDisk in the same memory conversation, and some of the best-graded voices we follow, jukan05 among them, have been bullish on both since July. Until now neither had a page, a score or a place on the ranked list.
The second reason is who reads Quantral. Korean retail investors are among the most active buyers of US stocks anywhere, and a Korean user could already follow Nvidia or Tesla here. Now the home market sits in the same app, on the same list, scored the same way.
What Korean names get
Korean names get everything a US name gets. There is no lighter tier for the new market.
- The same 0 to 100 signal score, on the 24-hour and 7-day windows, built from the same weighted, credibility-adjusted read of the mentions.
- A place on the ranked list. Korean companies compete for the same top spots as US names; nothing is ranked separately.
- Push alerts when a score crosses the thresholds, and a line in the monthly recap when the name earns one.
- Graded calls. A tracked voice who calls SK Hynix gets graded on the KRX close, the same way a call on Micron is graded on the NASDAQ close, so the track records stay comparable.
- MCP access. If you have connected Claude or ChatGPT to your account through the Quantral MCP server, you can ask about Samsung or SK Hynix the way you ask about AMD.
The first week of scores
Seven-day scores on the morning of September 9:
| Ticker | 7-day score | Tier | |
|---|---|---|---|
SK Hynix000660 | KOSPI 000660 | 87 | Strong |
Samsung Electronics005930 | KOSPI 005930 | 75 | Strong |
Naver035420 | KOSPI 035420 | 43 | Weak |
SK Hynix sits eighth on the 7-day ranked list across every company we cover, above Nvidia at 84 and Micron at 82. In late July the same accounts watched the stock fall as much as 17% in a session on an earnings miss, with KOSPI tripping circuit breakers two days running, and they split on what it meant: one graded voice called it ammunition for the AI top, another wrote that the miss was a supply problem and not a demand problem. This week the posts driving the score are jukan05 on 1c DRAM becoming the core die for HBM4E, an r/wallstreetbets thread on Samsung and SK Hynix inventories falling below ten days, and a tracked account arguing SK Hynix is the better company than Micron at a cheaper multiple. The page carries the whole run back to July.
Samsung Electronics at 75 is a foundry story as much as a memory one this week: half of its 4nm capacity going to HBM4 base dies, a retaken DRAM revenue lead, and speculation about custom silicon for OpenAI.
Naver's 43 comes from a thin read, a single tracked account suggesting a short. The accounts we track write in English and lean toward semiconductors, so the chip names filled in first; the Korean internet, auto and battery names score as the conversation we track reaches them.
What comes next
Korea is the first of many. Over the coming weeks Quantral opens up to more of the world's big exchanges, with Tokyo, London, Hong Kong and Frankfurt on the list, so the companies you follow outside the US get the same score, the same ranked list and the same alerts as everything else in the app. One app, one score, wherever a company is listed.
